Shell GTL Sarawax SX 105

Shell GTL Sarawax SX105 (also known as SX105) is a synthetic hard paraffin wax consisting of linear alkane molecules polymerized from natural gas via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. Being essentially an alkane material, Shell GTL Sarawax SX105 is stable and shows a good resistance towards oxidation. It can however be functionalized if required.
Shell GTL Sarawax SX105 does not dissolve in water and has a high melting point in the range of 100°C – 107°C. Being a gas-to-liquid (GTL) product, Shell GTL Sarawax SX105 contains zero sulphur and is virtually free from nitrogen, aromatics and heavy metals.
Shell GTL Sarawax SX105 complies with the requirements of 21 Code of Federal Regulations: Parts 172.886 (purity compliance), 172.888 (b, c & d compliance), 175.105 (adhesives), 175.250 (coatings), 175.300 (coatings), 176.170 (paperboard), 176.180 (paperboard), 177.1200 (cellophane), 177.1210 (sealing), 177.1390 (laminate), 178.3710 (purity compliance) and 178.3720 (b, c & d compliance per 172.888).
Shell GTL Sarawax SX105 is assigned with the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredient) name of Synthetic Wax.
